Everyone wants a great Web site, but how many people really know what one is? The Internet is a new medium in the world of marketing, and it's by nature ever changing. Yesterday's latest must-have for your site is tomorrow's shamefully abandoned W3C no-no. So how does a company that's already struggling with numerous internal deadlines as well as industry challenges get themselves a good Web site? And, what is a good Web site, anyway?

A good Web site, like any other well-designed tool in your marketing kit, should last you at least a few years, hopefully more. Web site redesigns and refreshes have their place, but hopefully not too soon after you've paid your bill. Things like typography, color palettes, and layout are as important on the Web as they are in print. Except that they are handled quite differently. So you need to be sure you are working with a firm that understands the difference between RGB and CYMK, not to mention a few other things.
