Most clients need a web-based application that requires little or no maintenance on the client machine as it uses a typical web browser to access the application itself.
On the client, we usually work with Internet Explorer (version 6 and 7), Firefox (version 2 and above) browsers running on Windows, Mac OS or Linux.
On the server, we can work with the database engine of your choice (if you have a corporate license you want to leverage or if you have made a corporate decision to standardize) among Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL or PostgresQL.

ASP.NET
.NET is a major software development framework developed by Microsoft. It offers a wide library of standardized code that can be leveraged to develop software rapidly.
ASP.NET is a natural evolution of ASP, the previous generation of tools developed by Microsoft, to develop web applications. We currently work with the .NET frameworks version 1.1 and 2.0 and are experimenting with version 3.0.
We also take the approach of re-using components that exist in the market place when they can save a lot of time and, ultimately, reduce the cost.
We recommend our clients to run their web based application developed with ASP.NET on Windows Server 2003 with IIS 6.0 as this provides a cost efficient environment.
ASP.NET can be connected to any kind of database and we usually work with Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL and PostgresQL. Except for MS SQL Server that runs on Windows only, the other Database engines can run on Windows or Unix/Linux.
PHP 5
PHP is the other major technology we use to develop custom web applications for our clients. PHP 5 is the latest stable release of the very successful PHP engine specifically developed to generate HTML pages on the fly and has proven itself to be a reliable choice to deliver a working system.
We recommend our clients to run their web based application developed with PHP on Linux with Apache 2.x as the web server for this provides a reliable and cost efficient environment.
PHP can be connected to any kind of database and we usually work with Oracle, MySQL and PostgresQL running on UNIX/Linux.

Web-based application optimized for PDA's
Modern cell phones are now much more than simply phones. They are more powerful, with bigger screens and contain a web browser that allows users to access the web directly on their phone.
Elevata Incorporated can help you develop a web-based application that can be viewed and used on today's phones through a web browser. The major challenges one has to overcome when working with cell phones / PDA's are a limited screen size and a limited bandwidth compared to a typical computer.
We usually recommend to our clients to build a simplified version of the User Interface that can be used on a PDA and we have successfully done so with clients in the past. By having separate URL's to access the PDA version and the PC version, we can build a UI that is aware of the browser running on the client and can thus fully leverage its capabilities.
